Michael Jackson, Farah Fawcett, dead

It seems to be a bad month for celebrities. Earlier, David Caradine, Koko Taylor and Sam Butere died. Today, Michael Jackson and Farah Fawcett died. I see on CNN that people are dancing outside the Apollo Theatre in New York to celebrate his life and his dancing. That seems only appropriate. The Apollo was one of those halls open since the swing dance era. Ella Fitzgerald sang there. As did Bessie Smith and Billie Holiday.

Michael Jackson was younger than I, which gives a person pause. And he was supposedly in good health. So that’s a bit of a surprise.

  1. I really admire Farah Fawcett because she is very talented and at the same time very beautiful. We are going to miss her.
